ich hab ihn noch nicht zu Gesicht bekommen, aber er haust irgendwo drunten in meinem Garten. Er hat die Himbeeren entdeckt und labt sich dran. Irgendwie dachte ich, da ist ein grosses Tier in dem Himbeer Feld rumgetrampelt, aber an einen Baeren hab ich nicht gedacht.
Nun hat er heute Abend so eigenartige Laute von sich gegeben, dass es sehr wahrscheinlich ein Schwarzbaer ist. Ich bin gleich runter zu meinen Nachbarn, um zu fragen, ob sie es auch gehoert haben. Wir sind dann noch etwas am Lagerfeuer zusammen gesessen und fuehlten uns etwas eigenartig .. hatten aber keine Angst, denn der Baer hat mehr Angst vor uns als wir vor ihm.
Heute hoerten wir auch die ersten Feuerwerke wegen dem 4. Julie: Unabhaengigkeits Tag (Independent Day) das hat den Baer sicher erschreckt.
Nun bin ich doch etwas vorsichtig wenn ich morgen frueh runter geh, um Beeren zu pfluecken. Ein etwas mulmiges Gefuehl.
There is most probably a bear roaming around in my raspberry field. I noticed the other day it looked like something big stomped quite some berries down. Never thought of a bear .. but today the sound he made made me shiver a bit. Its probably a black bear as my neighbor Rich said. He saw one some time ago too. We were sitting around a fire so there was no danger and the bear is more afraid of us then we of him.
Already some people start fireworks because of the independent day. Crazy shooting almost like in India. The 4. July is still some time to go .. but??? seems to be the custom to start early. So that scarred the bear as it did all the other animals too. My neighbors all watched me until I reached my backdoor safely ... so nothing happened. I am only a little bit concerned when I go down there tomorrow morning to pick some more raspberries .. ohhhh ... funny feeling. The other day I saw a big flock of wild turkeys with a bunch of young ones .. that was sweet, but a bear??? Anyway, I have to remember that he is scarred of me too.
